Why this matters: a self-managed or on-prem Kubernetes cluster doesn't have a cloud provider running the control plane for you — Mavvrik connects via a self-hosted appliance (deployed with Helm) that talks to your cluster directly and to Mavvrik's API. Getting that appliance deployed and configured correctly is what determines whether cost and utilization data starts flowing.
Before you start: you'll need kubectl and helm installed and configured with access to your target cluster.
