Confluent Cost Dashboard

Confluent Cost Overview

This dashboard provides a comprehensive view of your Confluent costs, helping you analyze spending patterns, identify high-cost environments, products, and SKUs, and track usage over time. Use this page to monitor key cost drivers, optimize resource allocation, and improve budget forecasting.

Why this matters: Confluent Cloud bills for Kafka cluster throughput, storage, and connectors separately from any cloud provider invoice — and usage can scale quickly as data volume or the number of connectors grows. Breaking spend down by environment, product, and SKU is what lets you catch that scaling before it shows up as a surprise on the invoice.

FAQs

What's the difference between Top Products and Top SKUs?
Top Products breaks cost down by broad category (KAFKA, STREAM_GOVERNANCE, CONNECT). Top SKUs goes more granular — the specific billing line items within those products, like KAFKA_NUM_CKUS or CONNECT_NUM_TASKS. Use SKUs when you need to pinpoint exactly what's driving cost within a product.

Why don't I see a Forecast Line on the SaaS Cost Chart?
It's not displayed by default in the current view, but it can be added for predictive trend analysis — check the chart's display settings.
