What it is
The Mavvrik Agent's Chat gives you a conversational way to explore your Mavvrik data — ask a question in plain English and get an answer right in the conversation. No queries to write, no dashboards to navigate between.
Why this matters: Chat is like asking a colleague who already has the dashboard open and knows exactly where everything is — you get the number, not the navigation.
This shows up differently depending on your role:
-
FinOps managers use this for fast, specific answers — "what drove cost up this week" — without opening a dashboard first.
-
Engineers use this to check the cost impact of their own services directly, without switching context.
-
Finance leaders use this for quick, conversational answers to ad-hoc questions that don't warrant building a new report.
What you can ask about
-
Cloud cost and spend trends
-
Kubernetes cost and resource efficiency
-
SaaS spend
-
GenAI / LLM API usage and cost
-
Savings recommendations and commitment coverage
-
Cost allocation and tag coverage
-
Agentic data
-
Datacenter cost
How it works day-to-day
-
Just ask. There's nothing to set up — Chat is available as soon as you open the Agent tab.
-
The Agent answers with tables and charts when they help make a number easier to read.
-
It keeps the context of your conversation, so a follow-up question doesn't need to repeat the first one — for example, after asking for a cost trend, you can follow up with "which of those months were above $30,000?" and it will work from the data already shown.
Good to know
-
If your team has uploaded a Skill, Chat automatically follows it for any relevant question — you don't need to reference the Skill by name.
-
If your team has added a Connector, Chat can use it directly in the conversation — for example, looking up a Jira ticket or checking a GitHub pull request without leaving the chat.
-
Skills and Connectors are both optional. Chat is fully useful without either.
