MongoDB Atlas Integration – SaaS Cost Visibility
In our last release, we launched a powerful new connector framework that enables Mavvrik to ingest cost data from virtually any source. MongoDB Atlas is the latest addition to this extensible platform, now natively supported within our SaaS cost dashboard. With this update, users gain full visibility into MongoDB Atlas spend alongside broader SaaS cost governance capabilities
Connect MongoDB Atlas: Seamlessly link your MongoDB Atlas account using secure credentials to ingest cost and usage data.
Detailed Cost Insights: Visualize granular MongoDB Atlas spend by projects, SKU, and clusters.
SaaS Dashboard Integration: MongoDB Atlas costs are now consolidated in our dedicated SaaS dashboard, giving you a single view of all your third-party cloud services alongside core infrastructure. This unified visibility eliminates blind spots and enables true end-to-end cost management.
Cost Governance for SaaS
Last release, we introduced the SaaS Cost Dashboard to help you centralize third-party SaaS visibility. This month, we’re taking it a step further by extending native support for SaaS across core cost governance modules—giving you full control and deeper insights across all your cloud and SaaS investments.
Cost Allocation Support: You can now map SaaS costs to business units, teams, applications, or services using cost allocation segments—enabling consistent, hierarchical visibility across your organization.
Budgets & Alerts: Set budgets and Alerts specifically for your SaaS applications. Whether tracking Databricks, MongoDB Atlas, or other integrated tools, you’ll stay informed and in control.
Perspectives: Filter, group, and visualize SaaS data using custom perspectives. View SaaS in isolation or alongside cloud infrastructure for more holistic analysis.
Forecasts for SaaS Spend: Anticipate future SaaS costs using built-in forecasting capabilities based on historical usage and pricing trends.
Virtual Tag (VTag) Support: Tag and track SaaS spend with the same flexibility as cloud costs. Create business-aligned views even if native metadata is limited.
This expansion makes it easier to track, optimize, and govern SaaS spend with the same rigor as your public cloud—unlocking true end-to-end FinOps for hybrid and third-party ecosystems.
Platform Experience Enhancements
Namespace-Based Team Creation
We’ve added a new Namespace option under the Teams module. This allows admins to group users or workloads into teams based on Kubernetes namespaces, enabling more precise access control and reporting aligned with cluster-level operational structures.
Savings Threshold:
The Savings Settings feature lets users filter recommendations and set a minimum savings threshold (e.g., $100) to exclude low-impact items. Multiple settings can be created using filters like billing accounts, usage accounts, or instance types—helping users focus on the most valuable opportunities.
Group By usage type:
We’ve added the ability to group data by Usage Type on cost dashboard This enhancement enables deeper visibility into cost and usage patterns—particularly when analyzing service-specific trends like EC2:BoxUsage
, DataTransfer
, or EBS:VolumeUsage
.
