Integrate Mavvrik MCP Federated Connectors MSFT (Preferred)

This page walks through connecting Mavvrik as a Federated Connector in Microsoft 365 Copilot, so users can ask Copilot questions about their Mavvrik cost data directly from a Microsoft 365 Copilot chat.

Why this matters: a Federated Connector lets Copilot reach into Mavvrik's live data on demand — through the same MCP endpoint used elsewhere — instead of you exporting data or switching to the Mavvrik UI to answer a cost question. It's the preferred integration path because it authenticates per-user (via OAuth) rather than sharing one static connection, so each person only sees the Mavvrik data they already have access to.

Related: this is a different integration path than Integrate Mavvrik MCP in Microsoft 365 Copilot — that page covers a direct MCP connection, while this page covers connecting through Microsoft's Federated Connectors admin flow, which is the preferred method going forward. If you've already set up the direct MCP connection, you don't need to also do this.

Admin (one time)

  1. Go to this page: https://admin.cloud.microsoft/#/copilot/connectors/add

Troubleshooting

  • If Authorize doesn't redirect you to a login page, check that the Reference ID was pasted in full and exactly as generated — a truncated or altered value will fail authentication.

  • If a user can't find "Mavvrik MCP" under Sources, confirm the admin setup above has been completed and the connector shows the green connected checklist — the source won't appear to users until then.

  • If login fails during the user connection step, double-check the Mavvrik tenant domain entered matches the subdomain used to log into Mavvrik directly (e.g. the yourcompany part of yourcompany.mavvrik.ai).

FAQs

Do I need to do both this Federated Connector setup and the direct MCP integration?
No — they're two different ways to reach the same Mavvrik MCP endpoint. Federated Connectors is the preferred method going forward; only set up the direct MCP connection if you have a specific reason to.

Does every user need to connect individually?
Yes — the admin setup only registers Mavvrik MCP as an available source. Each user still connects their own account under "User" above, which is what makes the connection per-user (so each person only sees Mavvrik data they already have access to) rather than shared.

What credentials do I enter when connecting as a user?
Your own Mavvrik login — the same email/password or SSO you'd use to sign into Mavvrik directly — plus your Mavvrik tenant domain (the subdomain from your usual Mavvrik login URL).
